Provenance

Notes

Henry Monaghan owned Monahan Road Construction, which built Highway 287. He married Neta Reese (widow of Roy Reese). Roy Reese bought the Hogsett Lumber and Mercantile Company sometime during or after 1921. In 1923 the lumber company was called the Miller-Reese Lumber Company and was owned by Mostyn Miller and Neta (then a widow). Joseph Huddart purchased the company in 1924 and it was listed in the Boulder Directory as the Broomfield Lumber Company. Neta and Henry Monaghan's son-in-law gave the yardstick to Gladys Forshee who donated it to the museum.
