Description

Adams and Westlake short globe lantern. Has BR, the Burlington Route logo, and Adams and Westlake Co. stamped on the brim. Globe of red glass has BR etched and Adlake Kero embossed into side. Bottom is printed with: Adlake – Kero 2–43/ USA/ Canada/ 1921–1923/ Patent pending. There are also several numbers on the bottom that are not discernible. The lantern measures 9.5"(h) x 6" (dia).

1952 circa: Donor's father, M. Verne Eason, was given this lantern from a neighbor, Hank Schnebly. Schnebly worked for the Colorado and Southern Railway at their Rice Yard in Denver.
