Description

Black and white photograph print of the Broomfield Jaycees and others at the dedication of the Broomfield train depot at its new location at 2201 West 10th Avenue near Lac Amora Park (now Zang Spur Park), 1976. Broomfield Jaycees President Robert Lewis is in a wheelchair, wearing a Jaycees vest, with a shovel propped up in his right hand. Former Jaycees President and Centennial-Bicentennial Celebration Chairman Dick Boccard is to the left of Lewis, with his arms behind his back. Former Broomfield mayor Jack Elliott and an unidentified woman lighting a cigarette are standing at the left edge of the photograph. The depot's new foundation can be seen in the background to the right. A larger, 5" x 6.75" copy print of this photograph is stored in the same folder, with the same numbering. It was probably developed from the same original negative.
