Item is a black-and-white photograph of a teenage girl. She is wearing a white dress and buckled shoes, and her hair is tied back. She stands on a dirt road facing the left side of the photo. Some grasses at the edge of the road, as well as some trees and other foliage in the background, complete the photograph. There is a white border around the picture's edge. On the back of the photo, the words "Alice" and "high school" are printed in pencil, as well as the years "1928-?." This photograph was donated along with other possessions of Viola Crooks, a longtime Broomfield resident who passed away in 1985. In her journals, a girl named Alice was mentioned frequently as a visitor to Crooks' home, so this could be the person referred to.Collection
