View of Broomfield Train Depot from Grain ElevatorEntry/Object ID
ph.96Description
Black and white photograph print of the Broomfield train depot at its original site near 120th and 287, circa 1970. The print is 3.5" x 5" on Kodak photo paper, glossy finish. The vantage point of the image is from up high, possibly on top of the grain elevator. Several white Blair Electric vehicles and truck trailers can be seen to the depot's left, as well as a Conoco station and several houses behind it and in the background. 120th curves left in the background as well, with cars seen traveling on it. A tall railroad signal tower is seen immediately to the right of the depot. To the left of the depot, the "No Trespassing" sign and a small, unidentified structure, possibly an old chicken coop, are visible. The top of the grain elevator may be visible in the lower left corner.
The reverse side has a handwritten inscription in blue pencil: "Broomfield-Depot."Collection
