Black and white photograph print of the "Texas Zephyr" train at a station or rail yard, circa 1950s. The print is 3" x 4." The image shows the silver colored diesel locomotive, unit #9935-A, on tracks. A car, telephone pole, and a building with a sign stating, "C.B.S - C.B.B.Q Passenger - Freight Station" are to the train's left. To the right, a train car is visible, cut off at the image's right edge. Some trees and buildings are visible in the background near the left edge of the image.
Texas Zephyr passenger trains operated jointly between the Colorado and Southern Railway and Fort Worth and Denver Railway, subsidiaries of the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad. It operated from 1940 to 1967.Collection
