Description

An Azo postcard depicting a steam locomotive and its driving conductor, circa 1904-1918. The postcard is 3.5" x 5.5", with the photographic print at 2.5" x 4". The image has the camera zoomed in somewhat, highlighting the conductor leaning out the locomotive's window. The number "57" is on one of the cars full of rocks or coal, and on the locomotive. The abbreviation "A.T.&.S.F" is lettered just under the locomotive's window, which stands for Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe, the railroad the train operated with. Another set of train tracks is visible just next to the train, in the foreground. The reverse side has "Post Card" printed at the top, with two sides for writing, labeled "Correspondence Here" and "Name and Address Here." The stamp area in the upper right corner has "Azo" lettering surrounding the box, with triangles pointing up in each corner. The postcard does not have any writing.
