Photograph Copy of Richard Vaughan and Brownie at the Broomfield DepotEntry/Object ID
1979.11.3a-bDescription
Two photographic prints of Broomfield Depot station agent Richard Vaughan and his dog Brownie in front of the depot, circa 1920. The print is a photograph of another photograph, apparently from a photo album originally. This particular print is 3.5" x 5" with a matte finish, black and white, probably taken circa 1970s.
The image shows Vaughan on the left holding out his hand, possibly holding a dog treat. Brownie is sitting upright in a wooden chair in front of a window, looking up to Vaughan's hand. A sign on the wall of the depot behind them states "Denver Interurban R.R.", partially obscured. The reverse side of one print has an inscription in blue ink that says "Neg. #4". The other print has an inscription on its reverse side in black ink that says, "Richard Vaughan (agent) and 'Brownie' at depot 1920."Collection
