Description

Two copies of black and white photograph prints depicting the site of a Denver, Utah and Pacific Railroad (DU&P) grade, circa 1975. DU&P operated in Broomfield in the 1880s. The prints are 4.5" x 7", resin coated. The image shows a body of water to the left, possibly Willow Lake (formerly one of Adolf Zang's reservoirs). Much of the area is covered in grass, with leafless trees on the right. Some houses and trees are visible in the distant background. Inscriptions on the backs of the photographs are written in black ink. One reads, "Original DU&P Grade (N)." The other reads, "DU&P Grade Looking North." The former print also has masking tape stuck on the back, with inscription written in blue ink: "#49 p. 46 Same Size 4 1/8 x 6 1/2 E705." The page number refers to the photo's use on that page in the book "Gem of the Mountain Valley."
