Broomfield Train Depot at its Original Site with No Trespassing SignEntry/Object ID
ph.205Description
Black and white photograph print of the Broomfield train depot at its original site near 120th and Highway 287, circa 1975. The print is 4.5" x 7", resin coated. The depot is depicted on the left, with the "Broomfield" roof sign, tall train signal tower, and a sign stating "No Trespassing Private Property C&S Railway Co." all visible. A concrete block on foundation just in front of the depot is also visible, which could be the remains of an old outhouse. Train tracks are visible on the right side of the image, with telephone poles alongside. The "Denver Elevators" grain elevators are visible across the tracks from the depot. Some other buildings are barely visible in the background.
The reverse side has an orange address label with the inscription, in ink, "Depot on orig site Pre 1975." The photo numbering was also crossed out and replaced. It used to be "206," but was changed to "205."Photograph Details
