Further researchDescription
A color photograph print of the station agent of Broomfield train depot, circa 1975. The print is 3.5" x 4.5", resin coated, with rounded corners. The station agent shown is likely Herb Rutledge, who was the station agent for the depot 10 years before the structure was moved in 1976. The image shows him in the depot's agent office, sitting down with a pen in his hand, looking at the camera. He is wearing Blue pants and a blue button up shirt, and has a brown booklet in his shirt pocket. Cubby shelves with several papers and other items , along with a turn dial telephone and a yellow trash can, are to the left of Rutledge; an old accordion phone is in front of him on the desk space, with a bare light bulb hanging from the ceiling. Track switches, hanging clipboards, and a typewriter are visible to the right.
The reverse side has "Jim Clifton" written in pencil. It is possible that this is in fact the name of the individual in the photograph, and it is not Herb Rutledge; or it could have been a name of an original owner of the photograph.Collection
