Description

Black and white photograph print of an open field in Broomfield with buildings in the background, circa 1970. The print is 8" x 10", silver gelatin with glossy finish. The image appears to be facing West. Grass and wire fencing are in the foreground. Several trees stand along the far left edge of the field, about midline in the photograph. What appears to be horses and a small white horse trailer are under two smaller trees standing alone on the right. The background shows several houses, what appears to be First Filing, and mountains in the distance. A two-story building with what appears to be a covered drive-through is on the far right. A grain elevator is seen between the trees to the far left. The reverse side has the inscription "neg. # 1076 1069." The numbers relate to corresponding negatives (not yet identified in Museum collections). Another inscription reads "1-42." This number was probably used by the photograph's original owner.
