Description

Black and White photograph of the tarmac at Jeffco Airport, circa 1970. The print is 8" x 10", silver gelatin with glossy finish. Small propeller airplanes are lined up on the tarmac in the foreground. The plane closest to the camera, central in the print, has a string of triangular banners hung tip to tip from the wings. A man stands at the wing on the plane's right, his back to the camera. From the side, a woman can be seen standing under the wing with a young boy looking up at the underside of the wing. A tall pole with a windsock stands with them. The reverse side has the inscription "neg. # 1077 1069." The numbers relate to corresponding negatives (not yet identified in Museum collections). Another inscription reads "1-88." This number was probably used by the photograph's original owner.
