ph.942Description
Black and white photograph print of Joseph Huddart and several others at military training at Camp Cody, New Mexico, during World War I, May 1918. The print is 4.5" x 7," with the corners cut off. The image shows several rows of men in suits and ties, with some sort of badge on their jackets. Onlookers are visible immediately behind them, with buildings to their right and left in the background. Huddart is seen in the second row, far right. After his service, Huddart later started the Broomfield Lumber Company in 1924.
Inscription from the development process at the bottom edge states, "Training for Camp Cody. New Mexico May 1918," with the year cut off at the corner. An inscription in ink at the top of the photograph gives the date, "May 1918." The reverse side has the inscription, "Joe Huddart far right second row" in blue pencil.Photograph Details
