Black and white photograph print of the interior of Hogsett Lumber and Mercantile Company, circa 1920. The print is 5" x 7". The proprietor of the hardware and lumber store, Roy Reese, can be seen to the left in the image behind the counter wearing a brimmed hat and buttoned white shirt with arms crossed. The left counter has a curved glass display case with tools, and a flat surface with many papers and other items strewn across it. Behind the counter, shelves with several tins and boxes of items are displayed. On the right side of the image, several barrels are lined away from the viewer, with pitchforks, shovels and other farm tools hanging on the wall opposite the counter.
The reverse side has scotch tape with ink inscription directing to page 41 in the book "Gem of the Mountain Valley," where the photograph is displayed. An orange address label has an arrow written on it, pointing to a white address labeled with printed text, stating "First Lumber Company in Broomfield -- Hogsett Lumber Company - Prop.
