Description

A 35mm color slide of longtime Broomfield resident Joseph Huddart's house and yard at 7970 West 120th Avenue, 1979. The house was built in 1929, five years after Huddart started the Broomfield Lumber Company. It was located just across the street from the Company's office. The image shows the white, two-story house in the center, with a garage to the left, small children's playhouse to the right, and several trees in the background. The house has a large front porch with an overhanging roof and supports. Windows with a small balcony and railing are visible on the second story. A chimney can be seen on the left side of the roof. A yard of green grass is in front of the house, along with a driveway to the left. A chain link fence and gate surround the yard and driveway. A mailbox stands just in front of the fence to the left, by the street. Inscription, in ink, on the front paper border states, "J.J. Huddarts House Built 1929."
