Black and white photograph print of Broomfield Emergency Ambulance Service (BEAS) personnel lowering a patient into a stretcher for transport at a car accident, circa 1975. Three BEAS volunteers with matching white vests are seen assisting a police officer and others with the patient, while other personnel work near crashed vehicles. The back of an ambulance is barely visible on the right edge of the image. The car accident occurred on Highway 287, just north of Miramonte Boulevard.

Jeannine was active with this volunteer service, as was her husband, James R. "Jim" Shafer, who was part of the BEAS.in the 1970s and 1980s.
