The fireman on the right is kneeling down and holding a hose or pipe near an open car hood or trunk, with the fireman on the left hunched over and adjusting an open car door. Several onlookers and other personnel are visible behind the two firemen. The car accident occurred on Highway 287, just north of Miramonte Boulevard.

Photograph was donated to the Broomfield Depot Museum by Jeannine Shafer in 2003 as part of a larger collection of papers and photographs pertaining to the Broomfield Emergency Ambulance Service (BEAS). Jeannine was active with this volunteer service, as was her husband, James R. "Jim" Shafer, who was part of the BEAS.in the 1970s and 1980s.
