Black and white photograph print of a Flight for Life helicopter landed on the road at the scene of a car accident, circa 1975. The helicopter is seen from the front, with an emergency worker looking into the cockpit to the right. A police officer is shown walking toward the camera, with several cars lined up along the road and a pickup truck full of equipment driving in the background. The car accident occurred on Highway 287, just north of Miramonte Boulevard.

Jeannine was active with this volunteer service, as was her husband, James R. "Jim" Shafer, who was part of the BEAS.in the 1970s and 1980s.
