The volunteers are seen wearing white vests with "Broomfield Ambulance" lettering, with other onlookers and personnel assisting around them. The photograph was taken at a car accident on Highway 287, just north of Miramonte Boulevard.

Jeannine was active with this volunteer service, as was her husband, James R. "Jim" Shafer, who was part of the BEAS.in the 1970s and 1980s.
