Description

Black and white photograph print of Church ditch, circa 1900. The print is 3.75" x 4.75," silver gelatin. The image shows water pouring into two waterways from a small pool of water enclosed by short concrete walls. Six men are seen residing around the ditch. The man sitting on concrete with hat in hand was Fred Jones; George Henry Church is to the left of Jones; and William P. Burgess has a cap on to the far left. The Church ditch divided into the Dry Creek Valley and Equity ditches. Inscription in pencil on the reverse side reads: "Church ditch divides into Dry Creek Valley & Equity ditches. Fred Jones sitting on concrete. George Henry Church in dark suit. W.P. Burgess with cap on"
