Black and white photograph print of a World War II Honor Roll sign in Broomfield, circa 1945-1955. The print is 11" x 14", mounted on a card board with glue, possibly a copy print made at a later date. The image shows the full sign with an illustrated picture of an eagle on the front. Several names of soldiers, many Broomfield residents, are displayed in five columns. The names Leland Conover, John Kloberdance, Charles Lawson, Edward Shaw, Charles Smith, James Waugh, and Robert Vaughan all have stars next to them. According to a typed description by Miles Crawford glued to the back, his son, Robert, took the photograph. The sign was made by the Crescent Grange in Broomfield and posted across from the Old Broomfield Hotel on 120th. The note also mentions how all of the soldiers were served by the mail route through Broomfield Post Office. Miles and his father, Harry Crawford, both served as Postmasters in Broomfield.Photograph Details
