E2015.16.1Description
Adhdentertainment.com downloaded a copy of the Turnpike Land Company's promotional film Birth of a City from the internet. In the film the Turnpike Land Company promotes a new town, Broomfield Heights, Colorado, as a wonderful, modern place to live. A narrator makes predictions for the growth and success of Broomfield Heights (now just Broomfield) as planners and organizers draw up plans for the new town, contractors build the houses and businesses, and then as people move into the new homes. The whole town is organized around a central shopping district.
One videodisc in a case. The disc is white and has the title "Denver-Birth of a City" on the front---the title is incorrect. The case has six black and white images from 1950's Broomfield on the front cover. The title on the case cover is "Broomfield Heights (1956) / "Birth of a City."
