Description

This video made by Havey Productions for the City and County of Broomfield chronicles Broomfield's growth from a farm community to a city and county. The video includes information on Broomfield Heights, Colorado's first master planned community; the Boulder-Denver Turnpike; and annexing wars which influenced the creation of the counties boundaries. The video includes vignettes from Broomfield residents, government officials, and government employees. Historian Patricia Nelson Limerick provides historical context. One videodisc in a case. The disc has a image of a house with a mother and child on the lawn and street signs for W. 4th Av. Dr. and W 3rd Av. Dr. The cover has an aerial color photograph of Broomfield with the Rocky Mountains in the background. There are several color and black and white historical images on top of the aerial image on the front and back cover.
