The first article, titled "Bethlehem Woman Creates a World of Dolls," was written by Dick Shurilla for The Morning Call. This article details the work of Mrs. Wesley Wilson, a resident of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, who creates dolls based on historical figures. She painstakingly crafted each doll based on research she conducted about the person she is representing. Wilson even matches the hairdo and outfits of the dolls to the correct country and time period that they lived in. She stated that her hobby began seven years prior after her first husband's death and has continued since.
The second article, titled "Bethlehem Woman Donates Doll Collection Replicas Of First Ladies to Area Library," was published by The Bethlehem Globe-Times on Monday, October 16, 1967. This article outlines Wilson's donation of her collection of historical First Lady dolls to the Northampton Area Public Library in Pennsylvania. In addition to the her collection, Wilson's brothers presented the donated display cases that these 19 dolls were to be stored in. There is a black-and-white photo along with the article that features Wilson flanked by her sister-in-law and one of her brothers. She is shown holding a doll replica of her mother in the picture.Collection
