This quilt was made by Mrs. Hattie Dieringer’s 3rd grade class at Emerald Elementary School to commemorate the United States of America’s Bicentennial. Mrs. Dieringer pieced the squares together. The students put the quilt together and did the tying.
The pieced quilt (machine) has red borders in between thirty blocks. The quilt has a blue border around the edge and the front and back are tied together with white yarn. Each block has a drawing by a student using an unknown technique (fabric crayons?) and their name. The images are of early American history. The quilt measures 67" (h) x 63" (w).
