Black top hat covered in beaver felt. Tall stovepipe crown with slightly larger top than base. Black grosgrain ribbon around base with bow at side. The ribbon is also covering the edge of the brim that turns up away from the wearer on either side. On the inside, there is a leather band around base and on the inside of the silk lined crown is the company name, "The Goodman & Neill Clothing Company / Greeley, Colo." The hat measures 6" (h) x 12" (w) x 12" (l).
