Description

This is a miniature celluloid flag on a metal pole. The flag is for Bulgaria Kingdom, and is made up of a white stripe at the top, a green stripe in the middle, and a red stripe at the bottom. In the top left corner is a red square with a yellow lion wearing a crown. On the back of the flag is the text "Bulgaria Kingdom/ Pop. 500,000 printed in blue ink and the history of Bulgaria printed in black ink. The flag measures 2.25" (h) x 1.25" (w). These flags were made by Cruver Mfg. Co. of Chicago, U.S.A. The flags were used as a advertising premiums. People have claimed that the flags were premiums for cigarette and cigars, Teddy Bear Bread, and Ponciana Chewing Gum. The collection included 70 countries and 48 states. (TTempleman 01/24/2018).
