This is a wooden wall hung clock used by Union Pacific. It was set to Naval Observatory Time. The clock measures 19" (h) x 19" (w) x 4.5" (d).
Type comes from relay office - collects and relays messages. Battery office Circa 1940. It was in Union Station Depot- used primarily by trainmen to set their watches by, probably RM 230. Was tied into Western Union circuits set twice a day to Naval Observatory time as were all clocks on system.
