Description

This Union Pacific railroad lantern measures 10" (h) x 7" (d). It is a steel kerosene lantern with a glass globe and metal handle. "Union Pacific" is embossed on the globe and lip of metal lid. The top of the lid is marked "M.M. Buck & Co St. Louis," "The Buck," "Patented Dec 18 88 Jun 18 89 Sept 24 89." View range starts with 1889 because of patent and ends in 1901 when a new owner changed the name of the company to Handlan-Buck Manufacturing Co.
