Description

(a) Item is a Wolff Visible Toaster around the size of a dinner plate. The outer rim is flat, while the inside caves inwards and features a pattern of evenly spaced holes to let heat in. The four toasting frames that sit on top can be propped up and interlocked, providing a stand for the toast to be placed on. The toaster is then placed above a gas or oil flame (it was compatible with a stove or campfire), effectively heating the toast without directly touching it. The metal of the toaster is black with a bit of rust. (b) Item is a box that held the Wolff Visible Toaster, with the slogan "You're Toasting With Gas!" displayed across the top in blue and orange lettering. An image of how the toaster would look during use is also visible, including some listed benefits such as the fact that it folds to dinner plate size and keeps crumbs contained. The back lists directions for use as well as some toasting suggestions. Items were likely from between the years 1920 and 1949, as this is when these items were manufactured.
