Table painted white with two drop leaves on either side of a thin center table top. The table top is 7.5" and each dropleaf adds an additional 17". The drop leaves when opened are supported by legs that swing out from a center post, this is why it is called a gateleg table. Dropleaf tables were first introduced in the 16th century in England. The table measures 29" (h) x 36" (w) x 34.5" (l) with one side open as on exhibit.
