Description
Item is a photograph printed on Kodak paper taken during the 1989 Broomfield Days event. The photo centers around the parade, specifically the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library float, which was constructed to look like a stack of giant books. The spine of the lowest book reads "High on Books," and the third biggest reads "Go Wild for Books." Crowds have gathered along both sides of the street to view the float, which was designed by Terry Barnhart and Chuck Mead. Tall trees frame the background of the photo.
