These are maps of Broomfield to different cities. 2023.3.51.a: This is a map of Broomfield to Longmont and East. From the bottom to the top the roads go from Colorado 36 to Colorado 119. On the side are large writings that explain the train sections: - Denver and Boulder Valley Railroad - Brighton to Erie 1871. to Boulder in 1875, leased by Denver Pacific; absorbed in UP 1898; became Boulder Branch UP - Boulder Branch Up - Brighton-Dick removed 1966 - Longmont and Erie - Grading 1878-9 Longmont- Erie used by Denver Longmont and Northwestern - Denver Longmont and Northwestern - N Gauge Longmont- Mitchell 1881 and Mitchell - Denver on DU & P track; reorganized 1883 as Colorado Northern - Colorado Northern - Which merged 1884 into DU & P - Denver Utah and Pacific - N Gauge Denver - Mitchell 1881 S Gauge replacements 1889-90: Utah Jcn- Burns Jcn via DMarshall & B (UP); Burns Jcn - Brie on D Western & P grading of 1881; Erie - Longmont new; Longmont - Lyons and Tower S gauged. Line leased to Chicago Burlington & Quincy - Chicago Burlington and Quincy - Until absorbed in 1908 as Lyons Branch - Lyons Branch 2023.3.51.b: This is a Railroad map of Golden and Utah Junction to Boulder. From the bottom to the top the roads go from Colfax Ave to Valmont. This map shows the West of Broomfield it goes North to Boulder and South to Golden. Someone had highlighted the Denver Utah and Pacific and Denver Interurban routes. 2023.3.51.c: This is the front page of "The Denver & Interurban Railroad Local Time Table July 27 1908 Between Denver and Boulder". On the side is a chart that gives the Rates from Globeville and Boulder. The rates all depended on the location you were coming from, whether or not it is a Sunday o even if you got the family ticket deal. For a one way ticket the lowest is .15 cents to .70 cents 2023.3.51.d: This is a the schedule for when the trains will arrive at the different locations daily. The top chart is the "Denver to Eldorado Springs, Louisville and Boulder-- All Trains Daily". This chart shows that the earliest train is at 7:00 am and the latest is 12:08 am for the Broomfield station. 2023.3.51.e: This is two photocopies of the same location in Broomfield just 70 or so years apart. The bottom on is from the 1910 and the one above shows the same is Broomfield in the mid-1980s. 2023.3.51.f: This is a photocopy of the Denver and interurban kite route. The left bottom corner says "Map Showing C.&S. RY. and D. & I.R.R. between DENVER & BOULDER. Exhibit 'A' Colorado and Southern RY. Denver and Interurban R.R Chief engineers office Denver Colo." In white someone highlighted the kite route except the Eldorado Springs branch. 2023.3.51.g: This is a Railroad map showing the Lafayette Coal Mining Area. The map is dated 1951. This map shows the railroad lines that are in operation, the ones that are abandoned and the grad only lines. It also shows the different mines and what year the mines had closed.
