Scrapbook is contained within a large, white 3-ring binder. 32 pages. Within the clear front pocket, there is a white title sheet with "1990-91 Broomfield Optimist Club" and "Friend of Youth" printed on it, along with the Optimist Club's symbol, which takes up most of the page. The back cover sleeve is empty. The scrapbook begins with a letter notifying members of the Broomfield Optimist Club that new leaders were elected. The next two pages include the names of the Board of Directors and the group's 41 members.
Within the scrapbook, there is/are:
- lists of the Broomfield Optimist Club's various expenses from 1990-1991
- flyer and about 30 pictures from the Progress Installation and Awards Dinner hosted by the Optimists
- flyer, newspaper article, entry form, and photos from the Optimist Football Contest for youth; participation certificate and button are also included, along with many photographs of contestants being awarded trophies for passing, kicking, and punting
- notices and newspaper articles honoring certain Optimist Student of the Month winners, including Sarah Ingrim, Chelsea Wittern, Jennifer Jackson, Chad Orvis, Jennifer Shiner, Mark Kelly, and Debbie Carlisle; these winners each received a $100 bond and a plaque
- multiple entries from the Broomfield Optimist Club YouthLine publication discussing both 'Old' and 'New' news
- survey for Optimist Club members to fill out, asking them if they felt like any changes should be made
- list of instructions for Club volunteers
- pamphlet including the Optimist Creed (the pledge that each member is supposed to live by), what the Optimist Club and Broomfield Luncheon Optimist Club are, a list of events that the Broomfield Luncheon Optimist Club organizes, and information about becoming a member of the group
- invitations advertising different Broomfield Luncheon Optimist events, such as meetings and the annual piano festival
- notes thanking Optimists for their help with the piano festival, donations to the Optimist International Foundation, and purchasing a VCR monitor for the Children's Hospital Foundation
- notice for a sponsor preview of the Broomfield High School After Prom Party
- notices for the Optimist Club's annual garage sale, Bike Safety Week, and Lawn Mower Safety Clinic
- page of community advertisements titled "Village Keeper Classified"
- photos of the annual Bike Rodeo and Bike Safety Week
- certificate of appreciation to the Broomfield Optimist Club for contributing to the "Let's Bag Hunger in Boulder County" food drive
- newspaper articles about the Broomfield Optimist Club's Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher Day, and presentations (ran by the Optimists) about the negative affects of drugs
The scrapbook ends with a Certificate of Participation presented to the Broomfield Luncheon Optimist Club by the Optimist International Foundation, recognizing the group's 100% participation in contributing to the Optimist International Foundation.Collection
