Description

A monochrome-blue blanket tapestry depicting various aspects of Broomfield, Colorado. It has blue piping and a border of matching blue hearts with white hearts on each blue corner. In the upper fourth of the tapestry, it reads "BROOMFIELD, COLORADO." The tapestry is divided into panels that show scenes, aspects, and broad depictions of Broomfield. On the top, there is a panoramic panel with two buildings, a long road, and trees. The buildings are the West Metro Fire Station and the Girl Scout Shelter in Midway Park. Underneath to the left shows the old building where the Broomfield Library used to be, the space now being used by the Veteran Museum. There is a fence and a large tree on the left side. In the middle, there is a large triangular sign that reads "Broomfield Center, Heart of Broomfield." To the right is the old Westlake School building. Below is the grain elevator, featuring a simple field in the background, large clouds, and a short building in front of it. Below the elevator drawing is a simple map of Weld County, Adams County, Boulder County, and Jefferson County. To the left is a depiction of broom corn. To the left above the corn is the depot building with a few trees in the background. Below in the bottom left corner is the "Welcome to Broomfield" sign with mountains in the background, pine trees behind it, and the logo for Broomfield on the sign. On the bottom, it reads "OUR HERITAGE, OUR COMMUNITY." All of the places depicted are labeled underneath in their respective panels. On the top and bottom, there are folds that were meant for a dowel in order to hang it up.
