Item is a note penned on a sheet of white paper with a blue rim and the initials "MDE" printed in blue in the top left corner. It was written on October 6, 1976. The transcription is as follows: "Dear Mrs. Bailey, Thank you for writing me about Julie and David Eisenhower's visit to the Library. Certainly Broomfield has [unintelligible] this community project. I am very proud to have my name on your letter head and on your building--your [unintelligible] a special place for the young in [unintelligible] and I am sure they will appreciate a place all their own. The altitude did not agree, for I should like to come to Broomfield once more. Good luck with your continuation this [unintelligible]. Sincerely, Mamie Doud Eisenhower"
