This jar belonged to Pattie's mother Ruth Harvey Janeway. Ruth used the jar to make mayonnaise in Texas and Oklahoma in the 1930s and 1940s. According to Patty you beat eggs and then put them into the jar and move the beaten eggs and oil up and down.
