This is a blue granite ware coffee pot with a metal lid. The lid does not match the coffeepot, but it does fit. The coffeepot has a wire handle. The note in the picture was found inside of the coffeepot. The coffeepot measures 12" (h) x 12" (w) x 9.25" (d).

The coffee pot belonged to Margaret's grandmother Matilda Winkelman (née Hoppensteadt) and was used on a farm in Des Plaines, Illinois. Margaret believes it was used in the late 1800s to early 1900s.
Margaret loaned the coffee pot to the museum in 1993 and the item was received by Peggy Atkinson. Margaret decided to donate the coffee pot to the museum. Transferred from Incoming Loan# L1993.2 --Jacqui Ainlay-Conley 06/24/2015
