2023.21.1Scope and Content
Item is a map of Sunnyside Mine in Boulder County. The map was last edited on March 19, 1920, and the mine was in operation from 1900-1921. The item belonged to Thomas J. Knill, a mine surveyor in Boulder County during the early 20th century.
The map was printed on plastic-like gray paper and shows the different areas of Sunnyside Mine, with many of the spots labeled. An arrow pointing north is present near the bottom left. The scale of the map is 1 inch to 200 feet. Near the bottom, a title reads, "The Big Six Coal Co." and "Map of the Sunnyside Mine." Below this is a chart with the label "Old Workings Copied From Blue Print." The chart contains different dates, some of them accompanied by initials, most likely from when the land was surveyed.Collection
