Scope and Content

Item is a telephone directory from June 1982 published by the Rockwell International Energy Systems Group at the Rocky Flats Plant. The front cover of the directory is yellow with the image of a telephone and the address and P.O. box of the Rocky Flats Plant. The booklet is bound by staples, and a couple of names and numbers are written in pencil on the front cover. The first page of the book contains emergency numbers, such as the Plant Protection Dispatcher and Fire & Emergency numbers. The rest of the directory includes: - a bomb call threat checklist, which would be used in the case that someone was threatening or heard of a threat of a bomb going off at Rocky Flats. - instructions for using the buildings' telephones and information about government phones. - a lined page where the owner could write frequently used phone numbers. - information about emergency actions and different types of calls. - a list of area codes for different states (and some Canadian provinces and U.S. territories). - at least a dozen pages of personal phone numbers belonging to the workers at Rocky Flats, which continue onto the back page of the directory.
