Doctor's Note and EnvelopeEntry/Object ID
2025.8.4Description
(a) Item is a note from a doctor, likely from the 1960s. The note came from the medical-dental building associated with Leon L. Gordon, M.D. and William J. Bresnahan, M.D., and it appears as though they had both a Broomfield and a Lafayette location.
The note reads, "There were no inoculations given here. The childred (likely supposed to be spelled 'children') had colds, flu and sore throats over a period of nine months that they were taken care of in this office." It was printed by the clinic located at 950 Quay, Broomfield, Colorado.
(b) Item is the envelope that this note came in. There is no evidence that it has ever been sealed. The top left of the back of the envelope hosts a printed label: "Drs. Gordon & Bresnahan, Medical-Dental Building, Broomfield, Colorado." A purple oval labeled "United States Postage, 4 Cents" with a white image of Benjamin Franklin's head can be seen in the top right.Collection
