Scope and Content

A three-page document of Bert Ward's reminiscences of living in the Broomfield Depot in 1952 while his father, John Ward III, a Colorado & Southern Railway station agent, was briefly assigned to Broomfield. Bert and his older brother John Calhoun Ward IV (known as John Ward, Jr.) lived in the depot with their father while their mother and three older sisters stayed in Kansas. Bert recounts aspects of their daily life including food, play, sleeping habits, and grooming.
