This tube was used to store and transport banner Object ID # 2016.21.2 to and from dances.
The 23.75"(L) x 2.25"(Dia) tube It is composed of a cardboard shipping tube painted blue. It is closed on one end with a metal plug held in place with black vinyl (electricians') tape. The other end has a removable cylindrical wooden plug (1 7/8" dia. x 1.5"L) painted yellow and wrapped in clear packing tape. A length of white cotton cord runs through the plug--knotted at it's terminus-- and is attached to the tube with black vinyl (electricians's) tape. There is a gold foil sticker adhered to the middle of the tube. It reads: "STAR PROWLERS BROOMFIELD, COLO". It has a silhouette of a man and woman dancing.Collection
