Scope and Content

16" x 20" poster for the 2015 Broomfield Days. The poster depicts a colored painting of three children playing on a small pier by a lake. The child on the left is a girl with blonde hair wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and pink tennis shoes sitting down. The child in the middle is a boy with dark hair, blue shirt, and black shorts and shoes leaning over and looking into the water. The child on the right is a boy with curly light-colored hair, red shirt, and black shorts and shoes holding a football and pointing while standing on a bench and/or railing. Green trees, grass, and reeds are visible in the background behind the children. The lake with blue water, and a blue sky above it, is seen on the left side of the painting. The water, sky, leaves, individual pier planks, etc, are also made up of newspaper strips from the Broomfield Enterprise and other publications. The artist's name, Mark Fraley, is visible in different newspaper letters in the lower right corner of the painting. The painting is labeled just under its lower right corner: "Mark Fraley, 'Broomfield Collage,' 2015." Near the lower left corner of the painting, it appears that the artist signed the poster in black marker: "Mark Fraley 6 of 50." The text "Broomfield Days 2015" is featured prominently in green lettering at the bottom edge of the poster.
