Ada Crawford's Notepad with Pencil, for Word Scramble GamesEntry/Object ID
1987.15.97Scope and Content
Small notepad with pencil attached by string, originally belonging to Ada Crawford. The notepad's front cover has a colored pink and green flower drawn on it, with "Ada" inscribed near the lower right corner. The pencil is mostly wood, with metal end attached to string. The contents of the notepad include three pages of a word scramble game written in pencil, where the names of different foods are scrambled and then deciphered.
For example:
"henckic olaf
chicken loaf"
It is possible that the writing was done by two different people, one person setting up a word scramble, the other deciphering it.Collection
