Two paper note pads, 5" x 7" for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad, circa 1950s. The Santa Fe pad has the railroad company's blue Santa Fe logo, with a cartoon Native American mascot running behind it. There are two trains, one red and one blue, side-by-side next to the mascot. The pitch, "Always on the Move Toward a Better Way" is stated below the trains. The Union Pacific pad is lined, with the Pacific Union logo resembling a badge with American flag designs near the lower right corner. The pitch, "The Proof is in the Pulling..." is at the bottom of the page. The page designs are the same on each page of the pads.Collection
