Scope and Content

A poster telling railroad employees to reduce instances of freight damage and loss, 17" x 22," 1970. The poster was issued by the Freight Loss and Damage Prevention Section and Association of Railroad Editors, for the Association of American Railroads (AAR). The message reads, "Fight Loss and Damage...Get the Point?" with the main image. "Make Shippers Aware That Railroaders Care" at the bottom of the poster, in a yellow banner. The message is accompanied by a cartoon picture of an ancient Roman soldier in yellow armor, with sword and shield. The AAR poster number is 1-1970

Custodial History: Originally used and posted in the Broomfield depot's station agent office and/or baggage area while the depot was still in use by Colorado and Southern Railway Company. All posters in the depot were later removed and put in the Broomfield Historical Society's collections after the depot was relocated from 1975 to 1976.
