Scope and Content

A poster telling railroad employees to work safely, 17" x 22," 1969. The poster was issued by the Safety Section of the Association of American Railroads (AAR). A drawn picture of a sail boat with two passengers, printed with green ink, is featured. The message reads, "Smooth Sailing" "Set your sails on a safe work course this Summer and be on the lookout to stay out of danger." A train with the AAR logo is at the bottom of the poster. The AAR poster number is 7-69, Poster No. 532

Custodial History: Originally used and posted in the Broomfield depot's station agent office and/or baggage area while the depot was still in use by Colorado and Southern Railway Company. All posters in the depot were later removed and put in the Broomfield Historical Society's collections after the depot was relocated from 1975 to 1976.
