Eugene Mirault manufactured and bottled “aerated” (i.e. carbonated) water and other beverages for over thirty years in Ottawa, including Mirault Club Dry Giner Ale and Mir-O-Pure Water. First operating on Wellington Street in the late 1890s, the operation later moved to 317-319 Rideau Street where the “Aerated Water Facility” was noted on the 1902/1912 Fire Insurance Plan. Mr. Mirault passed away in 1937, predeceased by his wife in 1925.
